Style Frame
A style frame is a single image that represents the fully-finished look of the animation. Once I'm provided with or create a style frame, it's used as a basis for what the composited shot should look like!
This shot is from the upcoming short "Nagara" and was created by Jay Kwan.

First Pass
Using the style shot as a guide, I compiled each separate layer using Adobe After Effects. The premise of the sequence this is a part of is to show several fleeting moments from the same framing as time passes. I initially went for a slow-motion effect with this pass.

Revisions
After sharing the first pass with my director, I implemented feedback to speed up the leaves and make their movement less uniform.
Here's the final shot we landed at!
